Reaction Steps
Add 6-trifluoromethyltryptamine to 1:1 acetone/Et2O. Add dropwise of oxalic acid (1.2 eq.) in acetone to give a solid. Collect the solid by filtration and dry overnight in the vacuum oven to obtain the title compound: MS(ES+): m/z 212 (M-NH2)+; (ES−): m/z 227 (M−H)−.
