Procedure

A mixture of 125 (2.8 g, 10.4 mmol) and 10% Pd/C (1.0 g) in methanol (50.0 mL) was hydrogenated at 41 PSI for 96 hours. The solution was filtered to give 1.7 g of crude 126 which was used in the next step without further purification. MS, m/z (relative intensity): 244 [M+1H, 100%], 285 [M+1H+CH3CN, 25%].
