PROCEDURE

实验过程

To a stirred solution of 3.2 g of sodium hydroxide in 40 ml of water under an argon atmosphere were added 8 ml of allyl thiol (about 85% pure). After 20 minutes of further stirring, a solution of 12.5 g of 4-acetoxy-3-ethylazetidin-2-one in 20 ml of water was added and the mixture was stirred for a further 15 minutes, and then extracted into dichloromethane. The organic extracts were washed with water, were dried over MgSO4, and evaporated in vacuo to dryness, Chromatography over silica gel, eluting with hexane-ethyl acetate mixtures, afforded the title compound as a yellow oil (3.2 g).
