Treatment of 1-(3-pyridinyl)piperazine (0.65 g) with N-[4-(bromoacetyl)phenyl]methanesulphonamide (1.17 g) according to the method of Example 1 gave the title compound, (0.90 g), m.p. 197°-198° C.
