(1R,cis) 2,2-dimethyl-3(Z)-[2-chloro-3-oxo-3-methoxypropenyl]-cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid chloride and (4S) hydroxy-3-methyl-2-(2-propenyl)-2-cyclopenten-1-one were reacted to obtain (1S) 2-methyl-4-oxo-3-(2-propenyl)-2-cyclopenten-1-yl (1R,cis) 2,2-dimethyl-3(Z)-[2-chloro-3-oxo-3-methoxy-propenyl]-cyclopropane-1-carboxylate with a specific [α]D20 =+27°±2.5° (c=0.3% in chloroform).
