Reaction Steps
A solution of 3-methylisoxazole-5-carbonyl chloride (0.73 g., 5.02 mmole) in dioxane was added to a solution of 4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-(1-piperazinyl)quinazoline (1.45 g., 5.02 mmole) in dioxane. The mixture was heated briefly, then was stirred at 20° C. for 2.5 hours. Workup as in Example 1 gave the title compound having a m.p. of 263°-264° C. with decomposition.
