According to the method of Example 34, 6-[2-(1H-imidazole-4-yl)-ethoxy]-3,4-dihydro-2H-naphthalen-1-one, monohydrochloride (0.313 g, 1.07 mmol) was reacted with 5-chloro-2-thiophene carboxaldehyde (0.165 g, 1.13 mmol) in 5 mL of 4% KOH in EtOH overnight to afford 0.272 g (60%) of the title compound as a dull yellow powder, mp dec. >210° C.: CI-MS m/e 385, 387 (M+−Cl).
