A mixture of 20 mg (0.032 mmol) 2-(R)-(3-(S)-((4-hydroxy-4-(3-phenylpropyl)piperidin-1-yl)methyl)-4-(S)-phenylpyrrolidin-1-yl)-2-(cyclohexyl)acetic acid, benzyl ester (from EXAMPLE 1, Step J) and 3 mg of 10% palladium on carbon in 0.5 mL of MeOH was stirred under one atmosphere of hydrogen for 18 h. The reaction was filtered through a 0.45 nylon filter and concentrated to give 16.5 mg (97%) of the title compound: ESI-MS 519 (M+H); HPLC B: 5.07 min.
