Reaction Steps
A solution of 2-6 (450 mg, 1.10 mmol), p-TSA (50 mg) and acetone (50 mL) was heated at reflux for 4 hr. The cooled reaction mixture was diluted with EtOAc and then washed with sat. NaHCO3 and brine, dried (MgSO4), and concentrated to afford 2-7 as a yellow solid.
