(4-Phenylbutyl)phosphinic acid, phenylmethyl ester is reacted with L-phenylalanyl-L-leucine, phenylmethyl ester, hydrochloride according to the procedure of Example 1(c) to yield N-[N-[phenyl-methoxy(4-phenylbutyl)phosphinyl]-L-phenylalanyl]-L-leucine, phenylmethyl ester.
