Next, while the thus-obtained polymer dispersion of silver behenate was maintained at a temperature of 50° C. and stirred at 500 r.p.m., an acetone solution of N-bromosuccinimide prepared at 25° C. (0.7 g of N-bromosuccinimide and 50 ml of acetone) was added thereto. The resulting mixture was further stirred for 60 minutes. Thus, a polymer dispersion of silver bromide and silver behenate was obtained.
