The solution of 4-{1-[N-(furan-2-ylcarbonyl)amino]cyclohexane carbonyl}amino-1-tert-butoxycarbonyl-3-piperidinol (30 g) obtained in Step 3 in 100 ml of 3N-hydrochloride/ethyl acetate was stirred for about 2 hours at room temperature. 100 ml of diethyl ether was added to the reaction mixture, and then the resulting white solid was filtered and dried to give 3.6 g of the titled compound.
