To the solution of 4-[N-[1-[N-(furan-2-ylcarbonyl)amino]cyclohexanecarbonyl]amino]-3-piperidinol hydrochloride (600 mg, 1.55 mmol) obtained in Step 4 and 1-flourophenyl methyl sulfone (272 g, 1.55 mmol) in 30 ml of dimethylformamide, was added potassium carbonate (500 mg). The reaction mixture was stirred overnight at about 100° C. and cooled to room temperature. The reaction mixture was diluted with 200 ml of ethyl acetate and washed with brine. The resulting organic layer was dried and concentrated on sodium sulfate. The resulting residue was purified with column chromatography to give 390 mg of the titled compound as white solid.
