The titled compound was prepared by the condensation of 5-(2-chloro-5-trifluoromethylphenyl)furan-2-aldehyde (1g) [prepared by the condensation of (2-chloro-5-trifluoromethyl)phenyl boronic acid with 2-bromo-furfural] with 2,4-thiazolidinedione (0.52 g) under the reaction condition described in Step B of EXAMPLE 1.
