Reaction Steps

To a stirred solution of the title compound of example 335 (318 mg, 0.50 mmol) in trifluoroacetic acid (5 mL) was added triethylsilane (0.399 mL, 2.50 mmol), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 days. The reaction mixture was evaporated under reduced pressure, 1N aqueous sodium hydroxide (15 mL) was added and the aqueous layer was extracted with ethyl acetate (15 mL, 2×10 mL). The combined organic layers were dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, filtered and evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was subjected to column chromatography (silica gel 10 g, ethyl acetate/methanol=1/0 to 9/1). The fractions containing the product were collected and evaporated under reduced pressure. Diisopropyl ether was added to the residue, the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with diisopropyl ether and dried under reduced pressure to afford the title compound (236 mg, 0.38 mmol, yield 76%) as a white solid.
