Ethyl 6-chloro-4-(6-ethoxypyridin-2-ylamino)pyridazine-3-carboxylate (40.3 mg, 125 mmol) was dissolved in 7 N ammonia in methanol solution (7.01 g, 9 mL, 63.0 mmol) and stirred at 25° C. for 18 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to give 6-chloro-4-(6-ethoxypyridin-2-ylamino)pyridazine-3-carboxamide (33 mg, 112 μmol, 90%) as a light yellow solid that was used directly without further purification. MS (EI/CI) m/z: 294.1 [M+H].
