To 1.4 g (5.0 mmol) (3R,3aR,6R,6aR)-6-(5-fluoro-2-nitro-phenoxy)-2,3,3a,5,6,6a-hexahydrofuro[3,2-b]furan-3-ol (III.1), 2.5 g molecular sieves 4 Å in DCM 1.2 g (10.0 mmol) N-methyl-morpholin-N-oxide and after 5 min 0.1 g (0.25 mmol) tetrapropylammonium perruthenate are added. The reaction mixture is stirred at RT for 30 min and purified by FC.
