A mixture of {8-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-3-[3-methoxy-4-(2-methyl-1,3-oxazol-5-yl)phenyl]-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyridin-8-yl}methyl 4-methylbenzenesulfonate (150 mg) and sodium azide (45.8 mg) in DMSO (2 mL) was stirred at 100° C. for 2 days. Water was added to the reaction mixture, and the precipitated solid was collected by filtration. The solid was dissolved in THF (2 mL)/water (2 mL), diphenylphosphino-polystyrene (1.99 mmol/g, 236 mg) was added, and the mixture was stirred at 60° C. overnight. The reaction mixture was filtered, and the solvent in the filtrate was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was recrystallized from hexane/ethyl acetate to give the title compound (55.5 mg).
