Prepared as described in Example 16, Part D by carrying out a Suzuki coupling between methyl 4-chloro-2-methylnicotinate (prepared as described in Example 14, Part A) and 2-(4-chloro-2,5-difluorophenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane (prepared as described in Example 16, Part A-Part C) to afford methyl 4-(4-chloro-2,5-difluorophenyl)-2-methylnicotinate (3 g, 4.13 mmol, 24% yield) as a brown oil. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 8.60 (d, J=5.2 Hz, 1H), 7.36 (m, 1H), 7.20 (m, 2H), 3.74 (s, 3H), 2.49 (s, 3H).
