This compound was prepared according to general method D from methyl 4,4-dimethyl-2-(4-methyl-2-(piperidin-1-yl)-6-p-tolylpyrimidin-5-yl)pentanoate (0.024 g; 0.059 mmol), sodium hydroxide 10N (0.100 mL; 1.00 mmol) in methanol (1 mL) at 60° C. for 18 h. Purification by flash-chromatography on silica gel using a gradient of methanol (1-10%) in dichloromethane, followed by a purification by preparative HPLC (HPLC method 1) furnished 0.007 g (29%) of the title compound as a colorless oil.
