Procedure

To a solution of tert-butyl (3-(oxiran-2-ylmethoxy)phenyl)carbamate 1.5 g, 5.66 mmol) in EtOH (30 mL) was added 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline 0.828 g, 6.23 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated at 100° C. for 4 h. The solvent was then removed by concentration and the residue dissolved in ethyl acetate, washed with water and the separated organic layer dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated to obtain a crude product. This product was used in next step without further purification.
