To a solution of 1-(4-bromo-phenyl)-3-aza-bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-3-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (Intermediate I, 200 mg, 0.59 mmol) in anhydrous toluene (2 mL) were added Pd2(dba)3 (1.3 mg, 0.002 mmol), BINAP (2.8 mg, 0.004 mmol), sodium tert-butoxide (85 mg, 0.89 mmol) and thiomorpholine (0.07 mL, 0.65 mmol) at r.t. and reaction mixture was refluxed for 17 h. Reaction mixture was then concentrated and the crude product was purified by column chromatography (silica gel, 2:8 EtOAc:Pet. ether) to afford the title compound as viscous liquid (66 mg, 31%).
