To a stirred solution of 517 (94 mg, 0.145 mmol) in a mixture of MeOH/THF (5/5 mL) was added 1N NaOH (1.45 mL). The reaction mixture was heated at 60° C. for 1.5 h, then at rt. The reaction mixture was concentrated, diluted with water, neutralyzed with 1N HCl (pH around 5-6) until precipitation occurred. The suspension was shaken for 15 min and the gel was collected by filtration, rinsed with water, and dried under high vacuum to afford the desired product 518 (66 mg, 0.107 mmol, 73% yield) as a white fluffy solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ (ppm): the carboxylic OH is missing, 8.78 (s, 1H), 8.56 (bd, J=1.4 Hz, 1H), 8.52 (d, J=5.5 Hz, 1H), 8.33 (s, 1H), 8.25 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.86 (dd, J=8.2, 2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.73 (dd, J=13.6, 2.4 Hz, 1H), 7.38 (t, J=9.1 Hz, 1H), 7.20 (dd, J=8.9, 1.3 Hz, 1H), 6.65 (dd, J=5.4, 0.7 Hz, 1H), 6.60 (bd, J=2.5 Hz, 1H), 3.58 (s, 2H), 2.70-2.30 (m, 11H), 2.26-2.18 (m, 2H), 1.56-1.40 (m, 4H), 0.72-0.58 (m, 2H), 0.49-0.36 (m, 2H). MS (m/z): 619.5 (M+H).
