Procedure
To a solution of methyl 3-(isopropyl(methyl)amino)-2-(1-methyl-1H-indazol-5-yl)quinoxaline-6-carboxylate (110 mg, 0.28 mmol) in methanol (20 mL) and CHCl3 (6 mL) was added sodium hydroxide (20 mg, 0.50 mmol) and water (1 mL). The resulting solution was stirred overnight at room temperature and concentrated under vacuum. The residue was dissolved in water (10 mL) and adjusted to pH 6 with hydrochloric acid (3N). The solids were collected by filtration to afford 3-(isopropyl(methyl)amino)-2-(1-methyl-1H-indazol-5-yl)quinoxaline-6-carboxylic acid (50 mg, 47%).
