Reaction Steps
To a solution of ethyl 2-(4-fluorophenyl)-3-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ylamino)quinoxaline-6-carboxylate (180.0 mg, 0.47 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (20 mL) was added sodium hydride (22.7 mg, 0.95 mmol) at 0° C. and stirred for 1 h at room temperature. Then CH3I (134.0 mg, 0.94 mmol) was added at 0° C. and stirred overnight at room temperature. The reaction mixture was quenched by the addition of NH4Cl solution (100 ml) and adjusted to pH 6 with hydrochloric acid (1N), extracted with dichloromethane (3×30 mL), dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and concentrated under vacuum to afford methyl 2-(4-fluorophenyl)-3-(methyl(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)amino)quinoxaline-6-carboxylate as yellow oil (100 mg, crude).
