To 3-((2R)-2-(2-(trans-4-((S)-2-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)propylamino)cyclohexyl)acetamido)-2-(2,9,9-trimethyl-3,5-dioxa-4-bora-tricyclo[6.1.1.02,6]dec-4-yl)ethyl)-2-methoxybenzoic acid from Step 2 in a flask was added 3N aqueous HCl and the reaction mixture was stirred at refluxing for 1 hr. The product was purified using reverse phase HPLC and dried using lyophilization. ESI-MS m/z 409 (MH)+.
