630 mg (1.5 mmol) of 4-[2-amino-5-(6-amino-pyridin-3-ylethynyl)-6-methyl-pyrimidin-4-yl]-3,6-dihydro-2H-pyridine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester are dissolved in DCM (40 mL) and 2 mL TFA are added. The reaction mixture is stirred for 3 h, concentrated aqueous Na2CO3 solution is added until pH 7 is reached and DCM is evaporated at reduced pressure. The residue is washed with water, taken up in acetonitrile and freeze dried yielding 253 mg (0.83 mmol) of the desired product which is used for the next step without further purification.
