N-(2,6-diethylphenyl)-1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-9-{[2-methoxy-4-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)phenyl]amino}-1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrazolo[4′,3′:6,7]cyclohepta[1,2-d]pyrimidine-3-carboxamide (0.905, 1.29 mmol) was dissolved in TFA. The mixture was stirred for 2 hours at 70° C. The organic solvent was evaporated to dryness and the residue was dissolved in DCM (50 mL) and washed with NaHCO3. The organic layer was dried over anhydrous NaSO4 and the solvent evaporated to dryness. The crude solid was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel eluant: DCM/MeOH:95/5) to afford 0.628 mg (84% yield) of the title compound.
