A stirring mixture of 2,2-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1-benzofuran-5-sulfonyl chloride (0.10 g, 0.41 mmol) and 3-methyl-1-(quinolin-5-yl)-1H-pyrazol-5-amine (prepared from Example 4 step b, 0.11 g, 0.49 mmol) in pyridine (0.41 mL) was heated at 80° C. for 1 h. After cooling to room temperature, the reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo. The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (SiO2, 0-20% ethyl acetate in hexanes), followed by reverse phase HPLC(C18 column, acetonitrile-H2O with 0.1% TFA as eluent) to give the title compound as a white solid (0.070 g, 0.16 mmol, 40%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.82 (s, 1H), 8.06 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.60 (t, J=7.6 Hz, 1H), 7.54 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.42 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.31 (s, 1H), 7.24 (d, J=3.2 Hz, 1H), 7.19 (d, J=6.8 Hz, 1H), 6.61 (d, J=8.8 Hz, 1H), 6.24 (s, 1H), 2.89 (s, 2H), 2.34 (s, 3H), 1.51 (s, 6H); MS: (ES) m/z calculated for C23H23N4O3S [M+H]+ 435.2. found 435.3.
