Reaction Steps

A mixture of 3-(3-phenyl-1-trityl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-1-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]pyridazin-4(1H)-one (1.50 g, 2.4 mmol), TFA (5 mL), and CH2Cl2 (15 mL) was stirred overnight at room temperature. The reaction mixture was alkalinized with 1 M NaOH aqueous solution and extracted with AcOEt. The extract was washed with brine, dried over MgSO4, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was recrystallized from MeOH to give the title compound (751 mg, 82% yield) as a white solid:
