A mixture of 123 mg of (2-(2-nitro-5-(piperidin-1-yl)phenyl)pyridin-4-yl)(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)methanol 5.2b, 30 mg of moist 10% Pd/C, and 3 mL of methanol was stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere for 5 h. The mixture was filtered and the solvent was evaporated to provide 1.05 mg of product. MS (ES, m/z) 428.2 [M+H]+.
