Procedure

tert-Butyl N-[2-[2-[2-[2-[2-(benzyloxycarbonylamino) ethyl-(2-methoxyethyl)amino]-ethoxy]ethoxy]ethoxy]ethyl]carbamate (2.99 g,) and palladium on carbon (10%, wet, 0.6 g) in methanol (30 mL) were stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere (balloon) for 2 hours. The mixture was filtered through celite and evaporated to give product as an oil (2.18 g, quantitative).
