A 50-mL single-neck round-bottomed flask equipped with a magnetic stirrer and a reflux condenser was charged with 312a (170 mg, 0.50 mmol), (2-{4,4-dimethyl-9-oxo-1,{3-[(acetyloxy)methyl]-2-{4,4-dimethyl-9-oxo-1,10-diazatricyclo[6.4.0.02,6]dodeca-2(6),7-dien-10-yl}pyridin-4-yl}boronic acid 199e (200 mg, 0.50 mmol), CH3COONa (82 mg, 1.00 mmol), PdCl2(dppf) (41 mg, 0.050 mmol), K3PO4 (212 mg, 1.00 mmol), acetonitrile (10 mL), and water (0.5 mL). After bubbling nitrogen through the resulting mixture for 20 minutes, it was heated at 100° C. under nitrogen atmosphere for 2 h. The mixture was cooled to room temperature and filtered. The filtrate was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by silica-gel column chromatography eluting with 50:1 dichloromethane/methanol to afford 312b as white solid (172 mg, 56%). MS-ESI: [M+H]+ 612.4
