Procedure
A mixture of [2-[5-[[[(diphenylamino)carbonyl]oxy]carbonyl]-1H-indol-3-yl]ethyl]carbamic acid, phenylmethyl ester (0.5 g) and 2,2,2-trifluoroethylamine (0.4 ml) was heated at 100° C. for 10 mins. in an autoclave. The mixture was cooled in an ice bath and triturated with cyclohexane (70 ml) to give a cream solid (0.3 g) which was crystallised from ethyl acetate and cyclohexane to give the title compound as an off-white crystalline solid (0.2 g) m.p. 138°-140° C.
