Reaction Steps
A mixture of 200 mg of 1-(3-amino-2,4-difluorophenyl)-7-[(3S)-3-aminopyrrolidin-1-yl]-6-fluoro-4-oxo-1,4-dihydro-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid and 200 mg of formic acid was stirred for about one minute, combined with 200 mg of ethanol and stirred at 90° C. for one minute. The solution was combined with 2 ml of ethanol, stirred at the same temperature for a further 2 minutes, and allowed to stand. The precipitate was collected by filtration and washed with ethanol and then with diisopropyl ether to give 154 mg of the title compound.
