Reaction Steps

To the product of Example 2 (1.0 mmol) dissolved in anhydrous DMF add solid K2CO3 (1.2 mmol, anhydrous) and CH3I (1.2 mmol). After stirring the reaction mixture at room temperature for 24 hours, concentrate the mixture in vacuo, dilute with CH2Cl2 and wash with water. Dry the organic phase over anhydrous MgSO4, filter and concentrate in vacuo to afford the title compound.
