Reaction Steps
After adding cyclohexane (5 g), acetone 17 ml) and acetic acid (3 ml) to Pd/Fe2O3 (1 g), it was stirred in a flow of hydrogen and oxygen gases at the respective rate of 20 ml/min. As the result of reaction for 16 hours at 30° C. under atmospheric pressure, 3.63 mole % of cyclohexanol and 2.45 mole % cyclohexanone with the total yield of 6.08 mole % were produced.
