A solution of the free base of compound of Example 7 (322 mg, 0.67 mmol) in pyridine (10 ml) was heated with acetic anhydride (126 μl) and the mixture stirred at RT for 24 h. The solvent was removed in vacuo, the residue azeotroped twice with toluene and partitioned between aqueous NaOH (pH 13) and EtOAc. The aqueous layer was further extracted with EtOAc and the combined organic layer dried (Na2SO4) then concentrated in vacuo to give an off-white glass. Chromatography (SiO2 ; EtOAc) afforded the title compound free base (303.6 mg) as an off-white glass.
