Procedure
A mixture of 4,6-dichloro-1-isopropyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridine (b) (40 mg, 0.17 mmol), tyramine (120 mg, 0.86 mmol), and 2-butanol (2 mL) was heated under microwave irradiation at 140° C. for 8 hr. The mixture was concentrated and the residue was purified by reverse-phase HPLC (C18 column, eluting with ACN—H2O 0.05% TFA) to afford the title compound as an off-white solid. MS m/z 331.1 (M+1).
