Potassium thioacetate (9.7 mmol) was added to a solution of ((S)-6-bromo-1-phenylcarbamoyl-hexyl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (6.5 mmol) in EtOH (40 ml). The reaction mixture was stirred at RT overnight. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the resulting precipitate was poured into water and extracted twice with AcOEt. The organic layer was washed with brine and dried over Na2SO4 before being evaporated to afford the desired adduct.
