1,1-Dimethyloxirane (88 μL) is added to N-cyclopropyl-4-oxazol-5-yl-N-piperidin-4-yl-benzamide (100 mg) in methanol (5 mL). The mixture is stirred for 4 h at room temperature and at 50° C. over night. Since the conversion is still incomplete, another portion of 1,1-dimethyloxirane (88 μL) is added and the mixture is stirred for 8 h at 50° C. The reaction mixture is diluted with water (10 mL) and stirred for 1 h at room temperature. The precipitate is filtered off and washed with water and t-butyl methylether to give the title compound. LC (method 2): tR=1.00 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=384 [M+H]+.
