Ethyl cis(±)-2-(4-{[(5-ethyl-4-trifluoromethyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)carbonyl]amino}-3-methoxypiperidin-1-yl)-5-methyl-1,3-thiazole-4-carboxylate obtained in Example (40f) (29.2 mg, 0.060 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (1 mL). The solution was subjected to the same operation as in Example (36g) using a 1 N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (1.5 mL), to obtain 24.0 mg of the title compound as a white solid (87%).
