1-(1H-Imidazol-1-ylcarbonyl)-L-proline methyl ester obtained in Example (151a) (0.200 g, 0.896 mmol) was dissolved in acetonitrile (2 ml). Methyl iodide (0.508 g, 3.58 mmol) was added, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 24 hours. The reaction solution was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain 0.327 g of the title compound as a pale yellow foamy substance (100%).
