To a solution of 4-benzyloxy-1-[2-(4-bromomethyl-2-methyl-phenyl)-2-oxo-ethyl]-1H-pyridin-2-one (preparation 1d, 100 mg, 0.24 mmol) in DMF (2 mL) is added 3-hydroxy-3-methylpyrrolidine (28 mg, 0.28 mmol) and K2CO3 (65 mg, 0.47 mmol). The reaction mixture is stirred overnight at 50° C. The mixture is purified via reverse phase HPLC chromatography (Phenomenex Gemini-C18 10 μm, gradient 5% 90% acetonitrile in water+0.3% NH4OH, 120 mL/min).
