To a solution of 2-{2-[4-(1-Bromo-ethyl)-2-methyl-phenyl]-2-oxo-ethyl}-5-(5-methoxy-pyridin-2-ylmethoxy)-2H-pyridazin-3-one (preparation 10d, 1.55 g, 3.28 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (5 mL) is added a solution of dimethylamine (2 M in THF, 4.9 mL, 9.8 mmol). The reaction mixture is stirred overnight at room temperature. After dilution with CH2Cl2, the mixture is washed with aqueous NaHCO3 solution. The organic layer is dried over MgSO4 and evaporated under reduced pressure. The crude product is purified via reverse phase HPLC chromatography (Phenomenex Gemini C18, gradient 30%→95% methanol in water+0.1% NH4OH, 120 mL/min).
