The title compound was prepared from 1-(6-bromo-pyridin-2-yl)-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid and dimethylamine (2 mol/L in tetrahydrofuran) following a procedure analogous to that described in Step 2 for Intermediate 5. Yield: 70% of theory; LC (method 3): tR=2.97 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=255/257 (Br) [M+H]+.
