The reaction of tert-butyl 5-amino-2-methylthio-4-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6-carboxamide (example 1f, 400 mg) with p-nitro-phenyl chloroformate (207 mg) was performed according to the methods described in example 1 g. Evaporation of the solvent under reduced pressure yielded the crude title compound.
