3-[2-(4-Benzyloxy-3-methyl-phenyl)-2-ethyl-butyrylamino]-4-hydroxy-benzoic acid methyl ester (5.80 g, 12.6 mmol), TsOH—H2O (478 mg, 2.51 mmol) in toluene (100 mL) are reacted analogous to Example 1, step E to give the title product (5.08 g, 91%). MS (ES) m/e: 444.2 (M+1).
