Reaction Steps
100 mg (0.196 mmol) of 1-(7,8-difluoro-2-methylquinazolin-5-ylamino)-6-isopropyl-5-methoxy-4,4-dimethyl-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-2-ol is treated with BBr3 in dichloromethane as already described several times. After working-up and chromatography, 33 mg (33.9%) of the desired phenol is obtained.
