Reaction Steps
50 mg (0.102 mmol) of 1-(8-fluoro-2-methylquinazolin-5-ylamino)-6-isopropyl-5-methoxy-4,4-dimethyl-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-2-ol is treated with BBr3 in dichloromethane, as already described several times. After working-up and chromatography, 13.7 mg (28.2%) of the desired phenol is obtained.
